SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – EMU Track & Field attended a rare mid-week meet on Wednesday, bringing a handful of athletes to the Shippensburg Mid-Week PR Bonanza, hosted by Shippensburg University. The Royals placed well in their events on a windy day at Head Track & Field Coach

Highlights (Women)
- SPRINTS
- 400m Hurdles: Elili Asefa placed fifth overall, completing the tough one-lap event in 1:15.77.
- JUMPS
- Long Jump: Faith Schultz jumped a season best 5.08m (16'-8") to slot into seventh overall. Angel David leapt 4.98m (16'-4.25") to place ninth, also a season best mark.
- Triple Jump: David got a mark of 9.72m (31'-10.75") for an eighth-place showing.

- JUMPS
- Long Jump: Da'Shawn Winters landed in the sand pit at 6.37m (20'-10.75"), a season best mark and good for ninth place. Brendan Apgar wound up 15th with a jump of 5.95m (19'-6.25").
What's Next
The EMU Track & Field team will split up between two different meets this weekend. The sprinters and jumpers will head to the Tar Heel State for the Aggie Classic, hosted by North Carolina A&T in Greensboro, N.C., on Friday and Saturday, April 18-19. The distance runners and throwers will stay in the Commonwealth for the WildCat Twilight at Randolph College in Lynchburg, Va., on Saturday, April 19.
