HARRISONBURG, Va. – The Virginia Sports Information Directors (VaSID) announced their College Division All-State Outdoor Track & Field awards on Thursday, and the EMU Men's Track & Field team landed three athletes on the All-State squads.
Nick Arnold, a rising junior from Greensboro, N.C., was named to the All-State First Team for hurdles. Arnold was the ODAC Champion in the 400-meter hurdles, taking the gold medal in a time of 54.69 seconds. That performance also put Arnold sixth on the EMU all-time list for the 400m hurdles. Arnold was also on the 4x200-meter relay team that set an EMU school record time of 1:28.90 at the Colonial Relays on April 5. Arnold also ran the seventh-fastest 400-meter dash in EMU history, clocking in at 49.29 at the season-opening Washington & Lee Track Carnival on March 21-22.
Bellamy Immanuel, a graduating senior from Allentown, Pa., earned a spot on the All-State Second Team for distance. Immanuel ran his way to ODAC runner-up honors in the 3000-meter steeplechase, and he set the school record in the event with a time of 9:21.65 at the Widener Final Qualifier on May 12. Immanuel won two races during the 2025 outdoor season, crossing the line first in the 5000-meter run at the Doc Jopson Invitational on March 29 as well as in the 3000m steeplechase at the EMU Heritage Invitational on April 11.
Grant Leichty, a graduating senior from Harrisonburg, Va., was recognized on the All-State Second Team for throws. Leichty ended his college career with a breakthrough 2025 outdoor season. He finished second in the discus at the ODAC Championships, heaving a personal best throw of 43.83m (143'-9"). That mark vaulted Leichty to second in EMU history in the discus, trailing only school record holder Nathan Turner. Leichty also set a personal best in the hammer throw of 36.06m (118'-4"), good for fifth on the EMU all-time list.
