Bellamy Immanuel Concludes Illustrious Career With School Record Performance at Widener

CHESTER, Pa. –  In his home state of Pennsylvania, Bellamy Immanuel represented the Royals in the 3000-meter steeplechase at the Widener Final Qualifier in Chester, Pa., on Monday.

Immanuel wrapped up his EMU career in fitting fashion, breaking his own school record in the 3000m SC with a time of 9:21.65, finishing fourth overall. He previously set the EMU standard in the event by clocking in at 9:24.39 at the Hill City Twilight in Lynchburg earlier this month.

Immanuel concludes his time at EMU as one of the best to ever don the Royals uniform in both track & field and cross country. In addition to the 3000m steeplechase, Immanuel also holds EMU records in the indoor 3000m (8:29.65), indoor 5000m (15:09.89), and he was part of the school record indoor distance medley relay (10:22.26). In cross country, Immanuel qualified for the NCAA Division III Cross Country Championships as a junior in 2023.

Immanuel also holds EMU top-10 marks in the following events: outdoor 5000m (second/14:55.76), outdoor 1500m (third/3:54.59), indoor mile run (third/4:18.43), cross country 8k (third/25:11.7), outdoor 800m (sixth/1:54.80), and the indoor 800m (sixth/1:57.48).
