FOREST, Va. - The Old Dominion Athletic Conference announced their 2025-26 All-Academic Team and a record 128 Royals found themselves on the list.
The 128 Royals that were named to the All-Academic team bested EMU's previous best, which was in 2023-24, when 123 Royals were named. This also continues EMU's streak of at least 100 student-athletes being named to the academic team.
The 2025-26 ODAC All-Academic Team features 3,308 individuals, which is the second most ever and marks the third straight season of having over 3,000 honorees.
12 ODAC schools had over 100 honorees, six schools had 200 or more and four had 300 or more, including Washington and Lee, which set the all-time ODAC record with 549 student-athletes named. Shenandoah University and the University of Lynchburg placed 366 and 356 student-athletes, respectively. Randolph Macon put 341 student-athletes on the list while Roanoke secured 296, to round out the top 5.
Eligibility for the ODAC All-Academic Team is open to any student-athlete that competes in a conference-sponsored sport, regardless of academic class. Prospective honorees must achieve at least a 3.25 grade point average for the academic year to be considered for ODAC All-Academic Team recognition.
