HARRISONBURG, Va. – After being the home team the past two days, the athletes of EMU Track & Field headed just a few miles down the road to take part in the JMU Invitational at Sentara Park. The meet featured competition from 14 schools across NCAA Division I, Division II and Division III. Bridgewater and Washington & Lee also represented the ODAC in the meet.
On the men's side, a small contingent of sprinters and throwers turned in great performances to wrap up a busy week for the Royals. In particular,
Koran Rucker won the hammer throw and the men's 4x100m relay achieved an EMU All-Time Top 10 time.

- 200m Dash: Da'Shawn Winters represented the Royals in this event, sprinting half of a lap in 23.05.
- 110m Hurdles: Filipo Toelau tallied a top-five finish, crossing the line in fifth place with a time of 14.92. Shaddai Bailey followed in 11th overall with a time of 15.99

- Discus: Rucker finished fifth overall, going 44.89m (147'3") on his best throw of the day.
- Hammer: Rucker's victory in the hammer throw was his fourth event win of the week to go along with three at EMU's home meet on Thursday and Friday. His winning throw landed at 50.27m (164'11"), finishing slightly over half a meter ahead of Jesus Flores of Bridgewater.
- Shot Put: Rucker took home runner-up honors with a mark of 15.79m (51'9.75"). Silas Bates placed 21st with a throw of 11.57m (37'11.5").

The EMU Track & Field team will take a mid-week trip to the Shippensburg Mid-Week Bonanza in Shippensburg, Pa., this Thursday, April 16.
