LEXINGTON, Va. – EMU Track & Field's athletes hit the road again this weekend, only this time they went to two separate meets: the VMI Winter Relays in Lexington, Va. and the Doc Hale Invitational in Blacksburg, Va.
On the women's side, most of the squad had the weekend off except for the throwers, who competed in Saturday's weight throw at VMI.

- Weight Throw: Emma Greer led the way with a personal record mark of 13.44m (44'1.25"), qualifying for the finals and finishing eighth overall. Addison Shanholtz placed 12th with a throw of 12.41m (40'8.75"), while Lily Gatesman came in 15th with her best throw of the day landing at 11.15m (36'7"). Greer's PR throw moves her up to third all-time in EMU history for the women's indoor weight throw.
What's Next
EMU Track & Field has two more meets on the docket for next weekend. The Royals will enter athletes in both the Darius Dixon Memorial Invitational at Liberty University on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 13-14 as well as the Joe LaRocco Invitational at Roanoke College, a one-day meet that Saturday, Feb. 14.
