HARRISONBURG, Va. - With the 2026 lacrosse season starting on Saturday, fourth-year Head Coach
Mikaela Brooks-Fauver has announced the addition of nine new faces to the team for this season: eight first-years and a transfer.
#13 Jocelyn Allanson
Class: First-year
Hometown: Manassas, Va.
High School: Osbourn Park
Position: Midfield
Major: Biology
Achievements: Four-year starter and 11-time letter winner at Osbourn Park, Second Team All-District (2024), Team MVP, National Honors Society, Graduated with a 4.2 GPA and Summa Cum Laude
Why EMU:
I chose EMU because I love the community and I knew I would thrive here at EMU. I am excited to get to know such an amazing group of girls and to continue playing field hockey and lacrosse.

Class: First-year
Hometown: Woodbridge, Va.
High School: Hylton
Position: Defense
Major: Undecided
Achievements: Three-year starter and letter winner at Hylton, First Team All-District, National Honor Society
Why EMU:
I really wanted a place to continue playing lacrosse after high school where it felt like home and I loved the team and the culture that EMU had.

Achievements: Three-year starter and one-time letter winner at Mechanicsville
Why EMU:
I really liked the coaches and the team. I enjoyed how welcoming everyone is and I love the mountains.

Position: Goalkeeper
Major: Pre-PT Biology
Achievements: Two-year starter at Rockbridge, All-Region Honorable Mention, Team was 2x VHSL Runner Up, National Honor Society, FBLA Treasurer

I chose EMU because I wanted a smaller school where I could build relationships with my teachers amd classmates and stay focused on my academics while playing lacrosse.

Why EMU:
I chose EMU because of the way I felt so loved and welcomed. By the time I had my overnight I felt so much more love than i had ever felt on a team ever. I was welcomed and loved and that made me fall in love with the sport all over again.
