SALEM, Va. - EMU LAX wrapped up its regular season road slate on Saturday, heading south to Salem to take on Roanoke.
The Maroons, currently sitting second in the ODAC, used 11 goals in the first quarter to pick up a 23-4 win over the Royals.

Highlights
First Quarter
- The Maroons got on the board in quick succession, scoring three goals in the first two and a half minutes of the quarter. After RC added their fourth goal, Cristal Narciso picked up her first save.
- Roanoke added six more goals in the frame, with Narciso adding three more saves. EMU got on the board at the 2:09 mark, when Amber Bonds' free position shot found the back of the cage.
Second Quarter
- After a Maroons goal to start the second quarter, EMU put its second goal on the board. A shot from Ava Walker went wide, but EMU maintained possession. Alex Palizzi's shot, however, wasn't wide as she put it past the Maroons keeper for her 15th goal of the season.
- Late in the second quarter, with less two minutes left before halftime, Bailey Freeman found Shayleigh Sims, who buried her shot in net. RC added one more, taking a 16-3 lead at the half.
Second Half
- Freeman picked up her first goal of the game, and her 22nd of the year, at the 5:47 mark of the third quarter, making the score 19-4.
- Narciso added eight more saves to her total across the third and fourth quarters, moving her total to 14.

EMU will wrap up the 2025 regular season on Wednesday, when they welcome in Lynchburg. First draw agains the Hornets is set for 6 pm.
