BEAVER FALLS, Pa.- The EMU Women's Triathlon headed out of state on Saturday, with four triathletes competing in the Duquesne Invitational at Brady's Run Park in Beaver Falls, Pa. The race featured a deep field of NCAA teams, including Division I schools Delaware State, Duquesne, La Salle, and the U.S. Naval Academy. The event was a sprint triathlon consisting of a 750-meter swim, a 20-kilometer bike ride, and a 5k run.
Kadence Ribbink won for the host school Duquesne in a time of 1:02:23.68, and Navy won the team championship with a low score of 37 points.
Highlights
- Zoe Clymer led the Royals for the second race in a row, going the distance in a cumulative time of 1:17:46.94 to finish 55th.
- Juliette Soos took home 63rd overall, crossing the finish line in 1:20:09.19.
- Daisy Buller and Sarah Wheeler finished close together in 74th and 75th, respectively. Buller completed the course in 1:24:55.79, while Wheeler came in at a time of 1:25:35.37.
What's Next
The EMU women's triathlon team will stay in the Commonwealth of Virginia for the Robious Landing Triathlon in Midlothian, Va., on Sunday, Sept. 28. The race is set to begin at 8 a.m.
