HARRISONBURG, Va. – Following a well-deserved weekend off, the EMU Track & Field resumed their indoor regular season. On the men's side, the Royals were spread out across three meets in two states.
Highlights: Darius Dixon Memorial Invitational – Lynchburg, Va.
- DISTANCE/MID-DISTANCE
- 3000m Run: Bellamy Immanuel represented the Royals well in the 3k, finishing sixth overall and first among Division III athletes. His time of 8:29.65 was a PR by two seconds, resetting his own EMU school record in the event.
Highlights: David Hemery Valentine Invitational – Boston, Mass.
- SPRINTS
- 60m Dash: Damon Morgan clocked in at 7.18 seconds to finish 21st in a deep field for the 60m.
- 200m Dash: Nick Arnold set a new personal record, completing one lap of the track in 22.58.
- 400m Dash: Isaiah Reid and Milo Hertzler both PR'd in this event, running times of 51.36 and 53.45, respectively.
Highlights: Joe LaRocco Invitational – Salem, Va.
- DISTANCE/MID-DISTANCE
- 800m Run: Nate Lehman continued his great senior season with a PR time of 2:07.58, good for 21st place. Ben Huyard crossed the line in a season best of 2:17.01.
- Mile Run: Immanuel followed up his Friday school record performance with a fourth-place finish and a time of 4:22.92. Charlie O'Neil ran a PR time of 5:09.34.
- 5000m Run: Three different Royals ran a PR in this event, led by Luke Buckwalter (17.26.96). O'Neil (18:11.38) and Huyard (18:17.59) also set personal bests in the 5k.
- SPRINTS
- 60m Dash: Da'Shawn Winters sprinted his way to a time of 7.31.
- 200m Dash: Micah Mast led the way in this event, running a fast lap of 23.51. Jameel Vann ran a PR time of 23.87.
- 400m Dash: Vann was the lone Royal in this event, completing two laps in 57.42.
- JUMPS
- Long Jump: Winters leapt 6.10m (20'-0.25") to slot into 17th place in the final results.
- Pole Vault: Mast cleared the bar at 3.66m (12'-0") to finish 10th overall.
- THROWS
- Shot Put: Christian Schmidt was the top Royal in this event, throwing a mark of 12.64m (41'-5.75") to come home 12th.
- Weight Throw: Grant Leichty set a mark of 11.98m (39'-3.75"), good for a 17th-place finish. Will Ramos set a personal best mark of 9.47m (31'-1").
