HARRISONBURG, Va. - EMU softball coach JD McCurdy has announced the Royals 2025 schedule. EMU will play 40 games over a two month span, with 20 of them coming at home at Gehman Field, and the remaining 20 on the road. They'll face off against 11 ODAC opponents, and sprinkle in a trip to Raleigh North Carolina for some spring break games. 

The Royals will kick off the season in less than a month, when they welcome in Messiah University for a doubleheader on Tuesday, Feb. 18. They'll follow that up with a set of home contests against Misericordia on Feb. 22. 

March will see the Royals play their fifth and sixth straight home games as McDaniel comes to town on March 1. SVU visits Gehman Field for a DH on Tuesday, March 4. EMU's first road games will come across March 7 and 8 as they head to Raleigh, North Carolina for the Grand Slam Triangle Classic. They'll square off with Meredith and Elmira on the seventh before finishing with Oberlin and Pfeiffer on the eighth. After returning to Virginia, they'll head to Staunton on March 11 to take on Mary Baldwin. Sunday, March 16, EMU returns home for a pair of games against Pitt-Bradford, before starting ODAC play on March 22 on the road at Sweet Briar. They'll wrap up non-conference play on March 25 when they head to Fredericksburg to take on Mary Washington. March competition comes to an end on March 29 and 30 as they'll take on Lynchburg and Ferrum on the road, respectively. 

EMU starts the month of April with a cross-town showdown as Bridgewater comes to the Burg on the second, followed by a road matchup at Randolph Macon on April 5. Six straight home games awaits the Royals after RMC, as they'll take on 2024 ODAC Champion and DIII Women's College World Series participant, Virginia Wesleyan on April 8, Guilford College on April 12 and Averett on April 13, all of which are doubleheaders. The final three-team stretch for EMU sees them visit Shenandoah for a pair of games on April 16, and Roanoke for a pair of games on April 22. They'll wrap up the 2025 regular season on April 26 as they take on the WildCats of Randolph College.
