BRIDGEWATER, Va. – The EMU Track & Field team wrapped up the two-day competition at the ODAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships at Bridgewater College on Saturday. For the men's team, four athletes scored points across five events during day two, led by two top-six finishes from junior
Bellamy Immanuel. Ultimately, the Royal men placed 10th in the ODAC with a team score of 25 points. Lynchburg, racing with heavy hearts following the sudden death of All-American distance runner Frank Csorba, won the ODAC team title with 174 points.

Highlights
- SPRINTS
- Joseph Kerr came home sixth in the 400m, setting a new PR of 49.79. That effort ties Kerr for seventh on the EMU all-time list for the outdoor 400m.
- HURDLES
- Shaddai Bailey crossed the line in seventh in the 110m hurdles final, setting a new personal record of 16.12. Bailey is now tied for 10th all-time in EMU history for the 110m hurdles.
- Nicholas Arnold tallied a fifth-place finish in the 400m hurdles, clocking in at 57.39.
- DISTANCE
- Immanuel scored in two distance events on day two. In the 1500m, Immanuel finished fourth against a stacked field, achieving a personal best time of 3:57.64.
- Immanuel capped a busy two days by placing sixth in the 5000m, completing the 12.5-lap race in 15:23.44.
- THROWS
- Grant Liechty topped the EMU throwers in the javelin, heaving a personal best throw of 35.36m (116'-0") for a 15th-place finish.
What's Next
The season will continue for a handful of EMU athletes competing at the Lee Last Chance meet on Saturday, May 11 in Cleveland, Tenn.
