LYNCHBURG, Va. – For the athletes of the EMU Men's Track & Field team, this weekend's WildCat Invitational in Lynchburg, Va., presented one last opportunity to compete and get ready for the ODAC Championships.
Junior distance runner
Bellamy Immanuel proved that he is ready to toe the line with the ODAC's best next week, winning the 1500m for his third victory of the week.

- Shaddai Bailey dashed his way to a time of 11.57 in the 100m, while Jonathon Kronimus completed one lap of the track for a time of 54.62 for 400m.

- Immanuel not only won the 1500m, but broke the sub four-minute barrier in the event, breaking the tape in 3:59.14. That performance moves Immanuel up to seventh all-time in EMU history for the outdoor 1500m.
- Abenezer Abebe ran a season best of 2:02.32 in the 800m, while Ben Huyard (2:14.32) and Caleb Metzler (2:16.69) set 800m PRs.
- THROWS
- Aidan Weaver led the Royals in both the shot put and the discus, throwing marks of 9.60m (31'-6") and 30.10m (98'-9") respectively in those events.
What's Next
The EMU Track & Field team will lace up their racing shoes for the highly-anticipated ODAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Friday-Saturday, April 26-27.
