LYNCHBURG, Va. – Some athletes from the EMU Track & Field team spent a portion of their Easter weekend competing in the Hornet Open, hosted by the University of Lynchburg. For the Royal men, five different athletes collected top-10 finishes in their events on the weekend.
MEET RESULTS
Highlights:
- SPRINTS
- Damon Morgan clocked in at 10.93 for 100m, placing eighth overall.
- Joseph Kerr and Nicholas Arnold finished sixth and eighth in the 400m, respectively, completing a lap of the track in times of 50.76 and 51.01.
- JUMPS
- Bryson Hunter leapt 6.12m (20'-1") on his third jump of the day to take home seventh in the long jump.
- THROWS
- Christian Schmidt showed the way for the Royal throwers, placing 10th in the shot put with a mark of 12.49m (40'-11.75").
What's Next
The EMU Track & Field team will travel east next weekend to compete in the Colonial Relays at William & Mary on Thursday-Saturday, April 4-6.
