Box Score LYNCHBURG, Va. – The Royals headed to Lynchburg on Wednesday, taking on the WildCats of Randolph College in a midweek matchup.
Randolph used 11 goals in the first half en route to an 18-4 win over EMU.

Highlights
- The Royals used a pair of saves and a ground ball pickup by Cristal Narciso, to keep things scoreless through the first 4 minutes of the game. But at the 10:59 mark, the WildCats got on the board, taking a 1-0 lead. They added to their lead with four more goals in the period, taking a 5-0 lead after one.
- After Randolph picked up a goal to start the second, EMU started fighting their way back in. Less than a minute and a half into the quarter, Courtney Crawford won a draw control. She then sprinted down the left side of the field, past multiple WildCat defenders, and beat the keeper to pick up the Royals first goal of the game.
- At the 11:42 mark, Grace Hughes was awarded a free position attempt. She went at the keeper, juked to her left and put a left-handed shot on goal, putting it past the keeper and cutting the Randolph lead to four.
- Hughes scored her second goal of the game right before halftime. With Randolph now leading 10-2, Amber Bonds won a draw control, and after a foul on Bonds, found Hughes at the top of the circle. She went right, going around the defender, before breaking left and beating the keeper to her right for another goal.
- The Royals final goal of the game came with just over three minutes left in the third. Narciso came up with a big save on a free position shot, EMU's clear attempt was successful. Alex Palizzi then got past the WildCat defense and scored her third goal of the season.
