Box Score 2 HARRISONBURG, Va. – Before they head to Florida for a spring break tournament, the Royals welcomed SUNY Oneonta to Harrisonburg for a Friday doubleheader.
EMU took down the Red Dragons, 15-7, in game one before falling 6-4 in extra innings in game two.
EMU vs Oneonta – Game One

Highlights
- Oneonta picked up a double in the first inning off EMU starter Hunter West, but West got out of the inning with a foul out and a strikeout. EMU's offense came out swinging in the bottom of the inning. Logan Mason and Ethan Spraker singled to start and scored in Nick Arnold's two RBI single up the middle. Two walks loaded the bases before Alex Gulisano picked up an RBI when he was hit by a pitch. After a pop out gave the Red Dragons two outs, Drew Petitt and Logan Mason walked, plating a run each, to give EMU a 5-0 lead after one.
 
- After Oneonta picked up a four-spot in the top of the fourth, the Royals added to their lead with three runs across the third and fourth. Logan Jones and Gulisano scored in the third on an error and Cole Bashinski drove in a run in the fourth, giving EMU an 8-4 lead.
 
- EMU broke the game open with six in the bottom of the fifth. Dwyer, Gulisano and Spraker scored on Red Dragon errors and Arnold drove in his third run of the day. Solomon followed that up with a two-RBI double, putting EMU up 14-5. Solomon added an RBI sac fly in the eighth for his third RBI of the day.   
 
- Royals reliever Keenan Fulwood came in in the sixth and pitched three innings, giving up just two runs on three hits with a strikeout. Cooper Thomas came on in the ninth to finish things out for the EMU win.

Highlights
- EMU got on the board in the first inning once again, this time with Spraker scoring on a Solomon RBI single, giving the Royals a 1-0 lead.
 
- Oneonta tied things in the top of the second and then took a 4-1 lead, chasing Royals starter Karson Jennings early in the third inning.
 
- The Royals bullpen of Trey Deane, Will Waller and Brendon Barrett kept the Red Dragons off the board through the sixth inning, giving EMU's offense a chance to get back in the game.
 
- In the bottom of the sixth, EMU cut the deficit to one on RBI from Bashinski and Bashinski scoring on a wild pitch. Then, with the bases loaded in the bottom of the seventh, Bashinski's fielder's choice brought in the tying run to send the game to extras.
 
- Unfortunately, Oneonta was able to plate a pair of unearned runs off Riles in the eighth to take a 6-4 lead. In the bottom of the inning, EMU put runners on first and second but couldn't bring them across to keep the game going.

What's Next
EMU will head to Florida next weekend for a three-day stint in the RussMatt Central Florida Invitational. Their first game in on March 5 against PSU Brandywine at 2:45 pm.
