Box Score 2 HARRISONBURG, Va. – It may have take 15 hours, but the EMU baseball team wrapped up game two of its series with Susquehanna, before taking on the River Hawks in the weekend finale.
The Royals took a lead late in game two, but Susquehanna scored sixth in the eighth to pick up a 16-13 win. Pitching was strong for most of game three, with EMU holding a 2-0 lead in the seventh, before SU erupted for 14 runs to take a 14-4 win.

Highlights
- After SU took a 1-0 lead in the first, the Royals responded with one in the second and third and two in the fourth. In the second, with the bases loaded, Drew Petitt scored on a passed ball, tying things at one.
- In the third, trailing 3-1, Nick Arnold doubled, stole third and came in to score on Natty Solomon's RBI groundout to pull EMU within one.
- After Susquehanna extended their lead, EMU once again clawed back in. Ethan Spraker ripped a two RBI single, scoring Petitt and Aidan Miller, making the score 6-4.
- With the River Hawks now ahead 10-4 in the sixth, EMU's offense erupted. Spraker picked up his third RBI of the day on a bases loaded walk which was followed up by Arnold's two RBI double. Spraker later scored on an SU error, Alex Gulisano drove in a pair and Jason Dwyer also picked up an RBI, giving EMU an 11-10 lead.
- Unfortunately, Susquehanna put up a six spot in the eighth, but EMU tried to rally in the ninth. Logan Mason led off, reaching on an error and came around to score on another error. Arnold's RBI plated Spraker and Solomon singled putting runners on first and second and brining the tying run to the plate. Back-to-back strikeouts and a groundout ended the threat and gave SU the win.

Highlights
- Alec Riles made his second good start of the season, holding the River Hawks off the board. He pitched 3.2 innings, giving up four hits, five walks and striking out three in the no decision.
- The Royals got on the board in the second, taking a 1-0 lead on Petitt's sacrifice fly, scoring Cole Bashinski.
- The Royals added to their lead in the seventh when Spraker scored on a wild pitch, giving EMU a 2-0 lead.
- Will Waller also threw well for EMU, pitching 3.0 innings and giving up just one hit and one walk while striking out four, holding onto the Royals lead.
- Susquehanna pulled ahead with four in the top of the eighth before breaking the game open with 10 in the ninth. EMU made a rally in the final inning, picking up runs from Dylan Hall and Hady Bruno, and had the bases loaded, before a strikeout ended the game.
