Box Score 2 FERRUM, Va. - The Royals continue to stay hot.
Offense was the name of the game for the Royals today as they swept the Ferrum Panthers on their home field to continue their strong start in ODAC play.
Game One Highlights - EMU 15, FC 5
- After a lead off walk from Jordan Jones, Jaylon Lee followed it up with a towering shot over the center fielder's head, good for a triple and scoring Jones from first. Brett Lindsay then quickly took advantage of the runner on third, hitting a deep enough fly ball to the outfield to score Lee with ease. After one more crossed the plate in the frame, the Royals were looking at an early 3-0 lead.

Lee led off the top of the fifth with a double, moving to third with a sacrifice bunt from Lindsay. Dylan Cassell pushed Lee across home plate with a grounder to shortstop good for an RBI, also reaching on an error by the Ferrum shortstop. Ray Tricarico then doubled, moving Cassell to third, then scoring on another sharp grounder to shortstop off the bat of Natty Solomon.
- After two strong shutdown innings from the EMU bullpen, the Royals attacked again in the top of the seventh with their first home run of the game off the bat of Brett Lindsay, also scoring Lee who reached on an error earlier in the frame. The score was pushed to 7-3 in favor of the Royals.
