HARRISONBURG, Va. – Following a rainy Friday, the ODAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships wrapped up on sunny Saturday at EMU's new track & field complex. The women's team got points contributions from throws, jumps, and distance events on the way to an eighth-place finish in the conference as the host school.

Day 2 Highlights
- SPRINTS
- DISTANCE/MID-DISTANCE
- 800m Run: Individually, Asefa achieved a season best time of 2:24.69 to bring home 12th place.
- 1500m Run: Loker led the Royal pack with a personal record time of 5:03.26 to place 11th. Lauren Kauffman also set a new PR by crossing the finish line in 5:19.90.
- JUMPS
- Triple Jump: David saved her best jump of the season for the championship stage, leaping 10.90m (35'-2") to clinch a sixth-place showing and three points for the Royals.
- THROWS
- Discus: Aldora Tuilaepa followed up her medal performance in Friday's hammer throw by placing fourth in the discus with a mark of 37.40m (122'-8"). Emma Greer tossed a personal record of 31.94m (104'-9") on her first throw of the event. Lily Gatesman also set a personal best throw of 28.06m (92'-0"). Greer and Gatesman finished 12th and 16th, respectively.
- Javelin: Lily Gatesman set a new personal record as her third throw of the day landed at 22.66m (74'-4").

The EMU Track & Field team will continue their season with a few last chance meets in May. They will next compete on Friday, May 2 at the Hill City Twilight, hosted by the University of Lynchburg.
