HARRISONBURG, Va. – The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) released its list of NCAA Division III All-Region honorees for the 2024 Outdoor Track & Field season on Friday, May 17. Bellamy Immanuel and Ray Ray Taylor represented EMU on the list, earning recognition from the USTFCCCA as All-South Region athletes. The top five individuals in each event from each region earned All-Region honors, in addition to each of the members of a top-three ranked relay team.

Immanuel, a junior distance runner from Allentown, Pa., finished fourth in the South Region for the 3000-meter steeplechase. This is Immanuel's second USTFCCCA All-South Region distinction of the year, also achieving the feat for cross country. Immanuel saved his best 3000m SC performance for the ODAC Outdoor Championships in April, crossing the finish line in a time of 9:33.23 to place second in the conference.

Taylor took home All-South Region honors in four events: long jump, heptathlon, shot put, and javelin. Taylor, a graduate student from Pottstown, Pa., finished the 2024 season atop the South Region leaderboard in the long jump, with a mark of 5.82m (19'-1.25") at the ODAC Outdoor Championships. Taylor was also second in the South Region in the heptathlon as well as fifth in both the shot put and javelin.

For Taylor, the 2024 outdoor campaign is not over yet. She will represent the Royals at the NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships, taking place Thursday-Saturday, May 23-25 at Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium in Myrtle Beach, S.C. Taylor will be competing in both the heptathlon and the long jump.
