Box Score 2 After a two week layoff, the Eastern Mennonite men's volleyball team made the trek to Buffalo, NY, for a weekend of important action as the men fight for an at-large bid to the upcoming NECVA Tournament. The Royals played a pair Saturday afternoon at Medaille College, splitting with Hilbert and the host Mavericks.

The match with Hilbert was tight from the first serve but the Royals got the edge with 25-20 wins in the first two games. Hilbert forced a fourth game with 25-22 victory, but the men closed it out, 25-19.
Frankie Coto (Miami, Fl./Southwest Miami) led three Royals with double digit kills as he dropped in 16. Greg Knight (Chesapeake, Va./Hickory) landed 13 kills and Chris Moise (Hollywood, Fl./South Broward) added 12.
Setter John Barry (Aaron Bridge, Oh./Worthington Kilbourne) racked up 44 assists. Nolan Prock (Virginia Beach, Va./Frank W. Cox) led the back row with 19 digs.

Eastern Mennonite then took on the host Mavericks, who entered No. 9 in the latest D-III national poll. MC took a 25-18 win in game one before the Royals regrouped and put up a fight.
Despite the solid play, EMU still came up just short in 25-23 and 31-29 decisions.
Moise led the men with 13 kills. Coto and Knight each had six.
Barry set up 27 assists and Prock had 13 digs.
Eastern Mennonite settles at 10-15 after the two matches and will play one more match in Buffalo on Sunday at D'Youville.
