FOREST, Va. - The Old Dominion Athletic Conference put out their end-of-season men's volleyball awards recently, and a familiar face was found for the Royals. Junior middle blocker
Daeman Odom was named Second Team All-ODAC, marking the second straight Second Team appearance for Odom.
The Virginia Beach native followed up his impressive freshman campaign with an even better sophomore season. Odom saw action in all 31 matches for EMU, with 111 sets played. He finished third on the team with 230 kills and 2.07 kills/set. He was also third on the team with 18 service aces. He led the team and was 14th in the ODAC in points/set with 2.88.
On top of his strong offensive numbers, once again Odom was a force at the net for the Royals. He finished the season with 110 total blocks, which was tops in the ODAC. He also led the team, and the conference, with 1.00 blocks/set, which was tied for 14th in all of DIII.
