HARRISONBURG, Va. - Student-athletes are back on campus, which means that the 2026 fall sports season is right around the corner. Throughout this week, we've been taking a sneak peek at the season ahead for all of our fall sports teams. Today, it is time to look at EMU Women's Volleyball.

2025 In Review
The Royals finished 2025 with a 6-20 overall record, and a 2-9 record in the ODAC.
Emma Rogers had a good first year for the Royals, finishing 10th in the ODAC in blocks/set with 0.69 and 18th in hitting percentage at .238.
Felicity Jones was 11th in the ODAC, averaging .44 aces/set while Jones and newcomer
Emerson Moats were both in the top-20 in the conference in digs/set.

Home Opener: Tuesday, Sept. 8 vs Wilson - 6:30 pm
ODAC Opener/Rowdy Royals: Wednesday, Sept. 16 vs Bridgewater - 6:00 pm
Senior Day: Saturday, Oct. 31 vs Randolph - 1:00 pm

Outlook: The Royals come into this season with the largest team in Steinbrecher's seven seasons. Defensively, the tandem of Moats and Jones were in the top-20 in D/S in the ODAC last season and will look to continue that trend this season. Moats and Jones will also provide a strong service game for EMU, as the pair were tops on the squad with a combined 83 service aces.
Rogers was big at the net last year and will be joined by Bly and
Hannah Hensley to keep opposing offenses down in hitting percentage. EMU will have to replace Custis, but will look to junior
Cristina Colon to be the floor general and get the ball to its outside/right side hitters. Providing that offense will be Meadows, along with incoming first-years
Alyssa Carr and
Reese Fitton, both of which were All-State players coming out of high school.
