Highlights
First Half
- It didn't take long for W&L to get on the board, as they took control of the opening draw and scored just 34 seconds into the game, for a 1-0 lead. The Generals were able to put 10 more goals on the board in the first quarter for an 11-0 lead. EMU's keeper, Alyssa Hunter, picked up three saves in the frame.
- In the second quarter, Hunter tallied four more saves to her sheet, with EMU getting on the board late. After a General turnover, Joelle Blosser took the ball almost the length of the field, juked around the W&L defender and beat the keeper for her second goal of the season.
Second Half
- The Royals defense held Washington and Lee to just three third-quarter goals, as Hunter stopped three of the shots she faced.
- In the final frame, Hunter added one more save to her total, while EMU's offense was able to get another shot on goal. After a W&L shot clock violation and a successful Royals clear attempt, Hailey Walker fired a shot on cage, but it was turned away to keep EMU at one.
