HARRISONBURG, Va. - After picking up a win over Randolph on Saturday, the Royals were looking for two straight, welcoming in Virginia Wesleyan University.
Unfortunately for EMU, the Marlins were able to pick up the shutout, heading back to the beach with a 3-0 win over the Royals.

Highlights
- The Marlins came out shooting, picking up two shots on goal in in the first six minutes, both of which were saved by Katie Parks, keeping the game scoreless.
- After a Virginia Wesleyan shot went out for an EMU goal kick, the Marlins retook possession in the Royals defensive side of the field. A cross by Courtney Mills to the far post, found the head of Alaina Alston, who put it past a diving parks for a 1-0 VWU lead. EMU's only shot on goal came in the 35th minute when Bridget Hay fired one on net from about 25 yards out. But it was saved by the Marlins keeper, as Virginia Wesleyan took a 1-0 lead into the break.
- Another crosser, this time from Grace Englebert to Cheyenne Diaz, provided the Marlins their second goal for a 2-0 lead in the 54th minute. VWU added their third in the 70th minute to round out the scoring and finish out the win.
