HARRISONBURG, Va. – EMU Field Hockey played its second home game of the week on Saturday, entertaining Centre College on a rainy day at the EMU Turf Field. The weather likely reflected the mood of the home crowd afterwards as the Royals fell 5-0 to the visiting Colonels.

Highlights
- Centre did not take long to strike first off of a goal from Claire Martin just 1:26 into the first quarter. The Royals countered with four shots over the next 2:15 of play, but they could not tie up the score. At the 11:55 mark, the Colonels found the cage again to make it a 2-0 game after 15 minutes of play.
- Following a scoreless second quarter, Centre pulled away in the third quarter by adding three goals to their tally, including Martin's second of the day at the 41:50 mark of the game. The Royals could not mount a comeback in the waning minutes.
