WASHINGTON, DC - The Royals made a trip to the Nation's Capital on Friday, kicking off the weekend against Trinity Washington DC.
EMU used a balance attack of a strong offense, scoring double-figures in all four quarters, and lock down defense, holding Trinity to single-digits in three of four quarters, en route to an 87-27 rout.
Friday's game marked the most points scored (87) and fewest points allowed (27) by the Royals in the
Jenny Posey era as well as the best since Dec. 2, 2017 when EMU beat this same Tigers team, 96-25.

Grace Burke.
Second Quarter
A jumper from
Lauren Mayn extended EMU's lead, and run, to 16 before a Tigers layup stopped the EMU tilt. Mayn and

Emma Johnson fastbreak layup and back-to-back threes from

Jada Waller. After a Trinity jumper, EMU restarted another rally, this time 9-0 to end the quarter, with
Jazmyn Taylor, Burke and Dingus all chipping in for the Royals.
Fourth Quarter
Trinity started the fourth on a 4-0 run before a Jones trio of points pushed the Royals lead back up. Late in the quarter, after a pair of Tiger free throws, back-to-back threes from
