Baseball Royals Reveal 2025 Season Schedule

HARRISONBURG, Va. – EMU Head Baseball Coach Adam Posey recently announced the team's 2025 schedule, which includes 24 home games at Royals Field this spring.

The Diamond Royals will commence their 2025 campaign on Tuesday, Feb. 11 when they travel to Fredericksburg to take on the Mary Washington Eagles. The Royals will then commence an 11-game homestand with a Valentine's Day matchup against Grove City College at 3 p.m., followed by a doubleheader against the Wolverines starting at 11 a.m. on Feb. 15.

The following week, EMU will host Mary Baldwin at 3 p.m. on Feb. 18, followed by doubleheaders against Elizabethtown (Feb. 22) and SUNY New Paltz (Feb. 23) at Royals Field. The Diamond Royals cap off the lengthy homestand with a three-game series against Penn State Behrend (March 1-2).

Coach Posey's team will then head south for a pair of road games over EMU's spring break, going up against Huntingdon College at 3 p.m on Tuesday, March 4 and then playing Covenant College (Ga.) at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, March 5.

The Royals return home that Saturday, March 8 to begin the ODAC portion of their season with a home doubleheader versus Ferrum College, beginning at 12 p.m. In total, EMU's 2025 slate features 22 ODAC games, with an even split of 11 games at home and 11 on the road. The team's first road doubleheader takes place on Saturday, March 15 when they travel to reigning ODAC Champions Lynchburg.

From there, the Royals have home ODAC games against Roanoke (March 22/DH), Randolph Macon (March 29/DH), Washington & Lee (April 8), Bridgewater (April 16), Guilford (April 19/DH), and Shenandoah (April 22). EMU will also travel for ODAC competition at Shenandoah (March 19), Washington & Lee (March 25), Bridgewater (April 2), Hampden-Sydney (April 5/DH), Virginia Wesleyan (April 12/DH), and Averett (April 26/DH).

There are a few non-conference match-ups spread throughout the ODAC portion of the schedule. On March 11, the Royals play host to Messiah at 3 p.m. as well as a home game against Mary Washington (April 1) and a short road trip to Mary Baldwin (April 9). EMU will play the last of their non-ODAC games on the road at Messiah on April 15.
