HARRISONBURG, Va. - The EMU Women's Soccer Team played its second home match of the week on Friday, welcoming USA South foe Brevard to Harrisonburg. The home-standing Royals had a tough go of it as the Tornadoes spun past them by the final of 4-0.

Highlights
- After a back-and-forth opening, Brevard broke the ice with a goal in the 30th minute by Catie Barton.
- Before halftime, the Royals had a flurry of opportunities with a shot-on-goal from Esme Cardodo-Rodriguez, followed by two chances by Shavia Davis, but the Tornadoes keeper shut down the attack to keep the score 1-0 in favor of Brevard at the break.
- The Tornadoes tallied a goal in the opening minute of the second half off of a shot by Mikayla Zvekan, making the score 2-0.
- Brevard tacked on two more goals in the late stages, including Barton's second score of the afternoon, to put the game out of reach.
