HARRISONBURG, Va. - The EMU Field Hockey team wrapped up the weekend against Marian University on Sunday, welcoming the Sabres to Harrisonburg.
MU used goals in the first, second and third quarters to pick leave town with a 7-0 win over EMU.

Highlights
- Marian got on the board early in the first quarter, as Allyson Nichols took a pass from Jikke Biemans and put it in the back of the cage for a 1-0 lead. Gracyn Arruda came up with two big saves later in the quarter, but the Sabres added a second goal in the final four minutes to lead 2-0 after one.
- Arruda added four more saves to start the second, but a Marian goal pushed their lead to 3-0 in the 27th minute, and the teams went to the break with MU leading 3-0.
- The Sabres were able to extend their lead with four goals in the third quarter, taking a 7-0 lead after the first 45 minutes.
- EMU's defense shut Marian down in the fourth, holding the Sabres scoreless as Arruda added four more saves in the frame. EMU's best offensive chance came late in the game, as Morgan Leslie fired a shot on cage, but it was saved by the Marian keeper to keep EMU off the board.
