BRONX, N.Y. – The EMU Men's Soccer team made a long trip up I-95 to commence their 2024 campaign in the Empire State against SUNY Maritime. The Privateers and Royals went back and forth, each getting their fair share of scoring opportunities. However, neither team found the back of the net in the scoreless draw.

Highlights
- EMU got off four of the first five shots of the game, two of which were on net by Ford DeVault and Kaden Schrock.
- The Royals peppered the Privateers' goal with the final seven shots of the first half, including two shots that dinged off the crossbar.
- Late in the game, SUNY Maritime went on an offensive attack of their own, with seven shots in a 12-minute stretch. Goalkeeper Andrew Arledge and the Royals' defense kept the Privateers at bay until the final whistle.
