GREENSBORO, NC - The Royals took to the road on Saturday, heading to North Carolina for a matchup with Guilford.
The Quakers used 11 first-half goals, holding EMU to just one, enroute to a 15-2 win over the Royals.

Highlights
- In the opening quarter, the Quakers were able to score five goals, taking a 5-0 lead. EMU keeper Cristal Narciso kept EMU close, picking up four saves in the frame. The Royals offense made the Guilford keeper work, with Courtney Crawford putting two shots on cage, but both were saved keeping EMU scoreless.
- EMU came out slinging in the second quarter, and was able to cut into the Quakers lead quickly. Less than two minutes into the quarter, with EMU a man-up, Lili Guerrero found Eve Detter, who put it in goal for her third of the season. EMU continued to put pressure on the Quakers defense, with Crawford and Angel Hines adding shots on the quarter, but couldn't put anything in. The Quakers extended their lead with six more goals and took an 11-1 lead into the break.
- Guilford tacked on three more goals in the third, but once again, Narciso came up with multiple saves to keep EMU in the game. Ainsley Clark, Shayleigh Sims and Crawford all put shots on cage, but couldn't find the back of the net.
- In the fourth, after Guilford added their last goal, Clark scored her seventh of the season on a free position shot to cut the Quakers lead to 15-2. Narciso added one more save in the frame to wrap up the game.
