BRIDGEWATER, Va.- EMU Lacrosse headed a few miles south for a renewal of the Route 42 Rivalry with Bridgewater.
The host Eagles got out an early 7-0 lead and never looked back on their way to an 18-4 victory over the Royals.

- Bridgewater scored seven unanswered goals in the first quarter, including a hat trick from Paige Mayers.
- First-year attack Eve Detter tallied her first career goal with 11:42 left in the second quarter. This ignited a three-goal rally for the Royals that included goals from Amber Bonds and Courtney Crawford to draw EMU within four at 7-3. The Eagles responded with two goals before halftime to make the score 9-3 Bridgewater at the break.
- The Eagles largely controlled the second half, outscoring the Eagles 11-1 after halftime. EMU's second half came courtesy of Alex Palizzi at 1:21 remaining in the third, with an assist by Bonds.
