HARRISONBURG, Va. - The Royals lax team opened their ODAC slate on Tuesday, welcoming in #6 Washington and Lee.
The Generals used scored 10 goals in the first quarter and never looked back, as they picked up a 21-1 win over EMU.

Highlight
First Quarter
Cristal Narciso picked up four saves for EMU in the opening frame, including one on a free position shot in the final minute of the quarter. W&L, however, was able to pick up 10 goals in the game's first 15 minutes, taking a 10-0 lead into the break. EMU was awarded a free position attempt in the final 33 seconds, but
Courtney Crawford's shot was saved by the Generals keeper.
Second Quarter
The Generals were able to add three more goals in the second quarter, but Narciso once again came up with some big saves as W&L was putting offensive pressure on EMU. AIn the final minute of the first half, after
Shayleigh Sims picked up a draw control,
Amber Bonds was able to get a shot on goal, but the Generals goalie picked up another save, sending the teams to the half with Washington and Lee leading 13-0.
Third Quarter
EMU was able to get on the board in the third, as Sims caused another turnover, picked up the ground ball and pushed forward for the successful clear. Bonds then worked her way past the W&L defenders and put a shot on goal that found the back of the cage for EMU. It was her sixth goal of the season.
Fourth Quarter
In the final frame, W&L picked up five more goals, but Narciso added to her save total with five more saves. The Generals defense held strong, holding EMU without a shot in the quarter.
