HARRISONBURG, Va. – It was another installment of the Poultry Road Rivalry, as EMU Field Hockey took on Bridgewater College in an ODAC showdown.
The Eagles used a trio of first half goals and three in the second half, en route to a 6-0 win over EMU.

Highlights
- The Eagles picked up two quick shots to start the game, but the first went wide and the second was saved by Gracyn Arruda to keep the Eagles off the board. Arruda added another save, but the rebound found the stick of a BC player, who put it in the back of the cage for a 1-0 lead.
- BC continued to pepper the Royals goal in the second, but Arruda continued to come up big, to keep the Royals deficit at one. But just five seconds after the save, BC added to their lead for a 2-0 lead. They tacked on one more in the 25th minute to take a 3-0 lead into the break.
- Terranie Bennett picked up a defensive save in the 34th minute, but BC added to their lead about 10 seconds later on a successful penalty stroke. Arruda added three saves in the frame, as Bridgewater held a 4-0 lead after three.
- In the fourth the Eagles were able to add two more to put the game away. Arruda picked up five more saves and Bennett added her second defensive save of the night to highlight EMU's defensive effort.

What's Next
EMU will be back on the field on Saturday for Homecoming 2024. They'll take on Sweet Briar, with gametime being noon.
