HARRISONBURG, Va. – Saturday was an emotional night for the EMU Women's Soccer team, as they honored their senior class of eight student-athletes prior to their match against Averett.
The Royals dueled the Cougars to a 1-1 draw on a chilly evening to earn their first point in the ODAC table this season to wrap up their home slate.

Highlights
- 36' | Amiah Carter launched a deep shot from the left side of the field that found its way by the Averett keeper to give the Royals the 1-0 lead at halftime.
- 67' | The Cougars countered in the second half when Abigail Poole took a pass from Hailey Juhasz and drilled the ball into the upper left corner of the net to even the match at 1-1. That score would hold up until the final whistle.
- Aja Laun stopped seven Cougar shots on the evening.
