RALEIGH, N.C.- While most of the EMU teams were on campus for homecoming, the Royal triathletes headed south to The Tar Heel State to compete NCAA East Regional meet in Raleigh, N.C., with the goal of qualifying for the Women's Collegiate Triathlon National Championships in Florida next month. The race was comprised of a 750-meter swim, a 12-mile bike ride, and a 5k (3.1 miles) run.

Jenna Weaver and
Zoe Clymer, that goal was accomplished with finishes of second and fifth, respectively, in the Division III portion of the NCAA East Regional meet on Saturday.
Highlights
- Weaver logged a cumulative time of 1:11:40.5 for the triathlon. Weaver also had the fastest 5k run out of all DIII athletes, completing that portion in 22:14.
- Clymer crossed the finish line with a final time of 1:18:51.8. Clymer made up ground by boasting the third-fastest bike segment among DIII athletes, traversing the 12 miles in 38:43.
- Daisy Buller, Ella Richer, and Sarah Wheeler also started the triathlon for EMU but failed to finish due to the lap-out during the bike segment of the race.

The EMU triathletes will conclude their 2024 season at the Women's Collegiate Triathlon National Championships to be held Saturday, Nov. 9 in Clermont, Fla.
