HARRISONBURG, Va. – The EMU Men's Soccer team looked to defend their home turf against ODAC foe Randolph-Macon on Wednesday night. Twice down by a goal, the Royals came back to tie it both times to force a 2-2 draw with the Yellow Jackets.
Highlights
- 12' | Randolph-Macon found the scoreboard first off an unassisted goal by Kodi Tannor on a kick that found the top-left corner of the net.
- 23' | A short while later, Mesa Dula used his head to send a corner kick from Ariel Bonilla past the Randolph-Macon keeper to knot up the score at one. The game remained 1-1 going into halftime.
- 64' | The visiting Yellow Jackets assumed the lead again when a short-range flurry at the EMU net ended with goal by Dylan Matheny. It was Matheny's ODAC-leading eighth goal of the season.
- 71' | However, R-MC's lead was once again short-lived, as Joel Spalding found Hudson Acocella in the box, who tapped the ball in to give the match its final score of 2-2.
- With this result, the Royals remain unbeaten in ODAC play and are currently riding a four-match unbeaten streak.
