FERRUM, Va. - In an unusual non-conference matchup, EMU traveled down to Ferrum Wednesday to take on the Panthers.
Ferrum picked up a goal less than six minutes into the game, and the rest of the match was a defensive battle, with neither team able to score in the final 84 as FC picked up a 1-0 win.

- 6' - Ferrum got on the board first when a pass from Kayla Fedison found the foot of Bri Bitz, who put the shot past Aja Laun for a 1-0 lead.
- Laun kept EMU in the game, picking up six saves in the first half keeping EMU down by just one heading into halftime. She picked up eight more saves in the second half, keeping Ferrum off the board in the final 84 minutes.
- 57' - EMU's best chance came 12 minutes into the half as Halie Mast put a shot on goal. But her attempt was saved by the Panther keeper, to keep the shutout intact. The Royals wouldn't be able to get past the Ferrum defense to tie the game, falling by a goal.
