HARRISONBURG, Va. - EMU welcomed Wilson College to Harrisonburg for a wet and rainy Sunday showdown.
With the game tied at one, Wilson scored two goals, one in the third and one in the fourth, to pick up a 3-1 win over EMU.

Highlights
- Both teams had shots early on in the first quarter, but a couple of saves from Gracyn Arruda kept the game scoreless. The first quarter ended at zeroes as Arruda made a save in the final seconds.
- 24' - Wilson broke the scoreless tie after a Phoenix penalty corner. Jill Ahlgren's pass found Paige Ney who beat Arruda for a 1-0 lead. Kate Landis had a shot on goal for the Royals three minutes before the half, but it was saved by the Wilson keeper as WC led 1-0 at the break.
- 35' - EMU was able to even the game just five minutes into the half. Landis fired a shot toward goal which was blocked, but the rebound came right back to her and she fired another shot, this time on target, for a goal and a 1-1 tie.
- 39' - Wilson picked up the go ahead goal after a pair of shots were blocked but the third one slipped past the keeper to find the back of the cage. The Phoenix would add an insurance goal in the fourth.
- EMU had multiple chances to start the final frame with seven shots in a four-minute span, but the Phoenix keeper picked up three saves to keep the lead intact.
