Highlights
- 2' - EMU got on the board early after Hayley Collins sent a pass toward the goal and found the stick of Elizabeth Longacre, whose shot found the back of the cage for a 1-0 lead. EMU would pick up three more shots in the quarter, but all were saved, keeping the game at 1-0.
- 15' - SVU's lone shot on goal came at the end of the quarter from Ellie Egnew, but Annika Thompson, making her first collegiate start, kicked the shot away for the save.

- A pair of goals in the third quarter, one from Kate Landis and another from Kaylin Ozuna, put the Royals in the driver's seat at 5-0. In the final frame, it was another pair of goals, this time from Kristen Andersen and Libbie Derstine, that gave EMU their final goal tally for the game.
