HARRISONBURG, Va. - EMU and Randolph came into Wednesday night's game, both looking for their first conference win of the season.

It was the WildCats who were able to pick up the W, outscoring the Royals 17-8 for the 95-86 win.

Highlights

First Half
EMU jumped out to a 5-0 lead with a layup from Nick Ondrus and a three from Kai Johnson. Randolph answered with a 12-0 run and held a slim lead until the 12:30 mark when Aaron Brooks' three put the Royals back on top. The teams traded points, with both offenses matching shot-for-shot and neither team able to pull ahead by more than three until, with the game tied at 30, EMU went on a 6-0 run with four points from Jazen Walker and a bucket from Brooks, for a 36-30 lead. EMU continued to lead, and pushed it to five with a pair of Jalen Jones free throws, before a WildCat three in the final seconds cut EMU's lead to two heading to the break.

Second Half
Once again, the teams started the second half point for point to a 45-all tie before back-to-back threes from Randolph gave them a six point advantage. They kept a small lead until Isaiah Carr drilled a three to tie things once again. Randolph was able to pull ahead once again, this time by as many as six, with 2:44 left but the Royals rallied and eventually tied things at 78 with a Brooks jumper and a pair of free throw from Aviwe Mahlong, to send the game to OT.

Overtime
Layups from Ondrus and Ty Peterson gave the Royals a two-point lead with two minutes left in the extra frame, but a three from Randolph gave them a lead they wouldn't relinquish. The WildCats hit multiple free throws down the stretch to secure the win.
