HARRISONBURG, Va. - EMU Director of Athletics Carrie S. Bert recently announced, that to celebrate the 50th anniversary of DIII, EMU athletics will not be charging admission for its men's and women's home basketball games for the 23-24 season.
"EMU Athletics is excited to share that as a part of the year long celebration of the 50th anniversary of Division III, we will not be charging to attend home basketball games this year!" Bert said. "This jubilee from gate fees is possible in part from generous gifts and sponsorships in support of the work of the Athletic Department."
The Royals will be on the road to open the season, but the women will be back inside Yoder Arena on Wednesday, Nov. 15 for a 7 pm ODAC showdown against Randolph Macon. The men will have their home opener on Wednesday, Nov. 29 as they take on Washington and Lee, with tipoff starting at 7 pm.
