BRIDGEWATER, Va. – The Royals women's soccer team played another installment of the Route 42 Rivalry on Tuesday, taking on the Eagles in Bridgewater.
BC used three first half goals en route to a 5-0 win over EMU.

Highlights
- Aja Laun picked up a save on a BC shot early in the first half but the Eagles were able to get on the board with a goal by Hannah England at the 2:43 mark, taking a 1-0 lead.
- The Royals defense continued to play hard and Laun added five more saves in the half, but Bridgewater was able to add two more goals to take a 3-0 lead at the break.
- The Royals came up with multiple defensive saves in the second half, along with seven more saves from Laun, to limit the damage. But the Eagles picked up a pair more of goals to extend their lead to five, the final score of the game.

The Royals will continue on the road on Saturday when they head to Danville to take on Averett. Kickoff against the Cougars is set for 6 pm.
