Box Score HARRISONBURG, Va. - The Royals men's soccer team looked to add to the win column as they faced wrapped up their 2022 non-conference slate against Southern Virginia.
EMU was able to put points up first to set the tone. However, the Knights were able to respond and tie the match, 2-2, with a goal in the game's final 33 seconds.

Highlights
- 19' - Mesa Dula put the Royals ahead in the 19th minute. Off a beautiful free kick from Ariel Bonilla, Dula's header found the back of the net to give EMU a 1-0 lead.
- Andrew Arledge saved the only shot he faced in the first half to send the teams to the locker room with EMU leading by one.
- 73' - SVU was able to tie things late in the game on a penalty kick after EMU was called for a handball in the box.
- 87' - Ford Devault gave EMU the lead with less than three minutes left in the game. After a Dula shot was blocked, DeVault was right there for cleanup, beating the Knights keeper to put the Royals back on top.
- 90' - Unfortunately for EMU, with the clock ticking down, a free kick in the game's final 30 seconds netted the equalizer for SVU.
