Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Tokhi’s Late Goal Not Enough as Royals Drop Saturday Night Game at Randolph

LYNCHBURG, Va.  – Looking to keep in the ODAC Tournament chase, the EMU Men's Soccer team loaded up the bus for Lynchburg for a chilly Saturday night conference matchup at Randolph College. Unfortunately, the Royals made their path to the postseason a little more difficult with a 3-1 defeat at the hands of the WildCats.

Records: EMU 4-10-1, 1-5 ODAC | Randolph 5-6-2, 2-3-1 ODAC

Highlights
  • 19' | Randolph broke the seal on the scoring with Nick Conboy's first goal of the season, giving the WildCats a 1-0 lead that held up until halftime.
  • The WildCats put the game out of the Royals' reach with two second half goals in the 69th and 87th minute, both by Tyler Richardson.
  • 88' | The Royals got on the board in the waning moments when Hamid Tokhi took a well-place cross and buried it into the back of the net with his right foot. It was Tokhi's second goal of the season. However, that was all the offense that EMU could muster on a cold night in The Hill City.
