Box Score SALISBURY, Md. – EMU finished its weekend in Maryland on Sunday, taking on host Salisbury in the final day of the Elmer Lord Tournament. The Royals held the Sea Gulls scoreless in the second half but Salisbury used three second half goals to pick up a 3-0 win.
Highlights
- Today's first half was a complete reversal from Saturday's matchup as EMU's defense clamped down, holding SU to just one shot on goal.
- EMU had three opportunities of their own in the first half, but couldn't beat Sea Gull keeper Ryan Socks as the game went into the half knotted at 0.
- Both teams came out strong on defense in the second until SU was able to get on the board in the 63rd minute to take a 1-0 lead. SU padded their lead with two quick goals in the 88th minute to take the 3-0 win.
- Ahmed Zaatar had four saves on the day to pace the defense. EMU had four shot on goal for the day with three of them coming from Ford DeVault and the other coming from Ben Alderfer.

EMU will continue its road start to 2021 when they back to Maryland on Wednesday for a matchup against Hood College. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 PM.
