BRIDGEWATER, Va. - EMU hit the road Wednesday, albeit a quick road trip, as they traveled across town to take on rival Bridgewater. 

The Eagles added solitary goals in the first and second half to pick up a 2-0 win over EMU. 

Highlights

• The Royals defense kept Bridgewater off the board, despite the Eagles having a couple chances. EMU keeper, Ahmed Zaatar, made back-to-back saves to keep the game scoreless. Dallas had a pair of shots for Eastern Mennonite but both were wide. 
• Bridgewater got on the board in the 32nd minute on a goal from Parker Richard to take a 1-0 lead. BC had another opportunity a few seconds later but Zaatar made the save to keep the Royals just down a goal. 
• Nico Macgregor put a shot on goal in the 44th minute but it was saved by the Eagles keeper. 
• Bridgewater added an insurance goal in the 52nd minute, to take a 2-0 lead. 
• Zaatar kept EMU in the game by making three saves in the second half but the Royals weren't able put anything on goal. Zaatar finished the match with seven saves on nine shots. 
• Macgregor led the way offensively for EMU with a pair of shots, one on goal.  

What's Next

EMU will return home for a Saturday evening matchup with Randolph. This is a Rowdy Royals game for Eastern Mennonite and is slated to start at 7 pm.
