Highlights
- The Royals defense was stout in the first quarter, holding BC without a shot for the game's first 15 minutes. EMU had a couple chances as Skylar Hedgepeth and Elizabeth Longacre each had shots on goal but couldn't put it past the Eagles keeper as the game remained scoreless after one.
- Longacre had another SOG to start the second to no avail. Bridgewater was able to put three on net in the second frame but all three were saved by Royals keeper Ann Ghally to keep the game knotted at 0 heading into the half.
- Bridgewater struck first, taking a 1-0 lead in the 33rd minute when Caroline Quigley took a pass from Hassmilyn Delarosa and found the back of the net.
- The Royals responded five minutes later. Hedgepeth put a shot on goal that was stopped but the rebound found Longacre who buried it past the Eagles keeper to tie things at one heading into the final frame.
- Hedgepeth was able to beat the BC defense and get a couple shots on goal to start the fourth but nothing came of the shots. Bridgewater took the lead, which would prove to be the game winner, in the 52nd minute to pick up the win.
- Longacre's goal was her team-leading 12th of the season. Ghally finished with eight saves on 10 shots.
