Dixon Records Double-Double, Leads RMC Over EMU 73-48

Jeremy Dixon had 17 points and 12 boards to lead the Randolph-Macon College Yellow Jackets over the Eastern Mennonite University men's basketball team 73-48 Wednesday night in Ashland, Va., in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference game.
The Royals fall to 7-16 on the season and 3-14 in the ODAC while the Yellow Jackets improve to 14-10 overall and 9-8 in the conference.
Brad Parkes (Winchester, Va.) led the Royals with a team-high 14 points while pulling down five boards. The junior forward has now scored 999 career-points.
Dixon and Phil Hawley led all scorers with 17 points while the Yellow Jackets got another nine points off the bench from David Carlson.
RMC had a slim 28-23 lead at the end of the first half before breaking out with 45 points in the second half. The Yellow Jackets were able to tack on 10 unanswered points in the half before EMU got on the board on a jumper by senior
Jason Sager (Edinburg, Va.). Sager had six points and a team best seven rebounds in the loss.
Freshman
John Overstreet (Forsyth, Ga.) had eight points and five rebounds for EMU.
The Royals will finish out the season on Saturday, February 17, as they travel down to Roanoke to take on the Maroons at 7 p.m.
